Maurice Blackburn ran its team day in partnership with Whitehot. Whitehot designed the session around the firm’s environment, its rules and its people, and built the materials for this team: Challenge Cards written for technologists, a participant guide, a presenting deck with timed team rounds and live voting, and awards. The design put collaboration at the centre: individual exploration first, so nobody is left behind, then table teams with shared roles, then every team presenting to the room.
Five of the firm’s own people were briefed to run the tables, so the day belonged to the team. On the day, every table chose its strongest idea, divided the work, built it together and presented it to their colleagues, and the room chose the winners by live vote.
Maurice Blackburn set out to build a team culture around AI: curious, collaborative and confident enough to bring it into everyday work. The team left with:
- A shared experience of working with AI. Every person took part, on the firm's platform and the firm's rules, alongside their colleagues.
- Teamwork around AI. Every table planned, built and presented together, with roles shared across the team.
- Engagement across the whole room. “Interactive, creative and generated a lot of energy in the room, with everyone getting involved.”
- Its own champions. Five of the firm's people ran the tables and can carry the format on.
